There are a variety of ways to get out to Sequim from the Seattle area. From more direct routes to scenic drives to sitting back and letting someone else do the navigating for you. You may choose to meander your way out, stopping by interesting towns and restaurants along the way.   1. If you have not arrived in your own car, car rental is available at SeaTac Airport. Driving around from Seattle to Sequim at your own pace may be the way to go. From Seattle, you’ll hop on I-5 to WA-16 W and eventually to US 101 N that you’ll follow all the way to Sequim. By driving all the way down through Tacoma, you’ll get the opportunity to cross the impressive Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Gig Harbor is a quaint place to check out with a  beautiful little downtown right on the water. If you need to stop for provisions before heading out to Sequim, the town of Silverdale has lots of shopping options.
  2. Another fun option of how to get from Seattle to Sequim is to take the Bainbridge Island Ferry from Seattle. Crossing the scenic Puget Sound is a great way to break up the drive and get out to stretch your legs. Once you cross over, Bainbridge Island offers many specialty and locally-owned shops and eateries that are worth checking out! You’ll also cruise through Poulsbo, a town that prides itself on its Norwegian heritage. This town offers a unique downtown to explore as well as a waterfront park. You’ll drive Highway 3 N to Highway 104 across the Hood Canal Bridge then on to US 101 and Sequim.
  3. If you should happen to be north of Seattle there is also the option to take the Edmonds/Kingston ferry across from Seattle to Sequim. This route after the ferry ride offers the chance to go to the picturesque and historic little town of Port Gamble. By taking this route you’ll also make your way across the Hood Canal Bridge and on to Sequim.
